Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AarthikAarambh (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related website (together, the “Service”). The Service provides IPO discovery, market data, allotment status checks, and related educational tools for Indian public issues. We do not execute trades, accept IPO applications, or hold customer funds or securities.

You can read this Policy in the app at any time via Profile → Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or provide personal information.

1. Who we are

AarthikAarambh is an IPO analysis and tracking product operated for users in India. Contact details for privacy requests are listed in Section 12.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the features you use.

2.1 Information you provide

• Optional profile — display name, email address, and mobile number, if you choose to save them in the app. Profile data is associated with an anonymous device identifier (not a password login in the current version). We do not create a server-side profile until you tap Save Profile.
• Saved PANs (on-device) — Permanent Account Numbers you save for allotment autofill stay on your device. They are not stored in your optional profile on our servers. Saved PANs stay on your device. Allotment checks send data to the registrar (through our API when you run Check Allotment — see Section 4).
• Allotment lookup details — when you check IPO allotment status, you may enter a PAN, application number, demat account number, and/or bank account details (as required by the registrar). These are used only to perform that check (see Section 4).

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device identifier — a randomly generated UUID stored on your device so we can sync your optional profile across app sessions without requiring an account.
• Local app preferences — watchlist, theme (light/dark), onboarding state, article bookmarks/reactions, and similar settings stored on your device.
• Technical / network data — standard server logs such as IP address, timestamps, and request paths may be processed by our hosting providers when the app talks to our API. We do not use these logs to build advertising profiles.

2.3 Information we do not collect

• We do not require account registration or passwords in the current version.
• We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs in the app.
• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not collect precise GPS location.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide IPO listings, market signals, insights, and related content;
• Save and sync your optional profile and remember preferences on your device;
• Perform allotment status checks you request via registrar portals;
• Operate, secure, and improve the Service (including fixing bugs and abuse);
• Respond to your support or privacy requests;
• Comply with applicable law.

The Service is for educational and research purposes only and does not constitute investment advice.

4. How we share information

We share information only in these cases:

• IPO registrars (allotment checks) — when you run an allotment check, the details you submit (for example PAN, application number, demat, or bank details) are forwarded through our API to the relevant registrar (such as KFintech, MUFG Intime, or Bigshare) solely to retrieve allotment status. Allotment results come from the registrar’s systems; we do not accept IPO applications or hold securities. Our API is designed not to persist those sensitive identifiers as profile data. Registrars process data under their own policies and systems.
• Service providers — trusted infrastructure providers (for example hosting, database, and CDN) that process data only to help us run the Service.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
• Business transfers — if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information may move with the business, subject to this Policy or a successor notice.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

5. Data storage and security

• On-device data — saved PANs, watchlist, and preferences remain on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the app.
• Server-side profile — optional display name, email, and phone are stored on our backend, keyed to your device identifier.
• We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use the Service responsibly.

6. Data retention

• On-device data is retained until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall.
• Optional profile data is retained while associated with your device identifier, or until you delete it in the app or ask us to delete it.
• When you tap Delete profile only in the app Profile screen (after confirmation), we remove your server-side name, email, and phone for that device identifier, rotate to a new anonymous device identifier on your phone, and do not immediately recreate an empty profile on our servers. Saved PANs on the device are not removed by this action.
• Allotment lookup payloads are processed for the check and are not retained by us as profile data.
• Operational logs may be kept for a limited period for security and reliability.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to:

• Access or correct personal information we hold about you;
• Request deletion of your profile data;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• Ask questions about how we process your data.

You can also:

• Delete profile only in the app (Profile → Delete profile only, with confirmation) to remove name, email, and phone from our servers without contacting support;
• Edit profile fields in the app before saving;
• Remove saved PANs from the in-app Saved PANs screen;
• Clear app data or uninstall to remove local storage;
• Contact us (Section 12) if you need help or cannot use the app deletion option.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Third-party links and services

The app may link to third-party sites (exchanges, registrars, social channels, or documentation). Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before sharing information with them.

10. International users

The Service is built for the Indian IPO market. If you access it from outside India, your information may be processed in India or in locations where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
